Ugandan shilling weakens on energy sector FX demand

KAMPALA (Reuters) – The Ugandan shilling weakened on Monday, undercut by strong hard currency demand by merchandise and fuel importers, traders said.

At 0856 GMT commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,691/3,701, compared to Friday’s close of 3,685/3,695.
