(Reuters) – China has been approaching the CEOs of top global companies about a meeting with President Xi Jinping later this month, the Financial Times reported on Friday.
Authorities in Beijing have approached CEOs planning to attend the China Development Forum on March 23-24, with the potential meeting slated to take place on March 28, the newspaper said, citing people familiar with the matter.
About 72 executives including HSBC’s Georges Elhedery and Aramco’s Amin H Nasser are scheduled to attend the forum, the FT reported.
