HONG KONG (Reuters) – Hong Kong’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased to 3.2% in the December 2024 to February 2025 period from 3.1% in the prior three-month period, the government said on Tuesday.
The unemployment rate was steady at 3.1% in November-January, October-December, September-November and August-October periods, and was slightly up from 3% in the July-September period.
“The labour market should remain largely stable in the near term amidst continued economic expansion, though some businesses would be affected by the uncertainties stemming from the United States’ trade protection measures,” Chris Sun, secretary for labour and welfare, said in a statement.
