MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia’s oil and gas revenue declined by 17% in March to 1.1 trillion roubles ($13 billion) from the same month a year ago, finance ministry data showed on Thursday.
In the first quarter, the revenue fell by almost 10% to 2.64 trillion roubles, according to the ministry.
Oil and gas revenue has been the most important source of cash for the Kremlin, accounting for about a third to half of total federal budget proceeds over the past decade.
