KYIV (Reuters) -The supervisory board of the Ukrainian state energy company Energoatom has dismissed the company’s head, Petro Kotin, the company said on Thursday.
The decision took effect immediately, Energoatom said on the social media app Telegram, without giving any reasons for the move.
Kotin had headed Energoatom since 2020. Prior to that, he served as director of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, Europe’s largest.
State-run Energoatom is the largest producer of electricity in Ukraine, meeting around 60% of the country’s energy needs.
