(Reuters) -British new car registrations fell about 2% over the year earlier in August, according to preliminary industry data released on Thursday.
Battery electric vehicle share reached about 26% of the total vehicle market during the month, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said.
The final figures for August will be published at 0800 GMT.
