(Reuters) -China’s state-owned oil and gas producer CNOOC Limited said on Monday that Zhou Xinhuai has resigned as chief executive officer.
Zhou, born in 1970, was appointed as the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of CNOOC Limited in April 2022, and was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Company with effect from May 2024.
Before CNOOC’s announcement, Zhou was appointed director and president of China National Petroleum Corp. in August 2025. The appointment was made by the Organisation Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, according to CNPC’s statement on August 28 this year.
