BEIJING (Reuters) -China’s commerce ministry on Monday vowed to “resolutely safeguard legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies” after the UK imposed Russia-related sanctions on 11 Chinese firms earlier in October.
The sanctions have a negative impact on the economic and trade relations between China and the UK, a Chinese commerce ministry spokesperson said in a statement.
“China urges the UK to correct its wrongful actions immediately, withdraw the sanctions against relevant Chinese entities,” the spokesperson said.
