Gurin Energy buys EDPR’s wind, solar projects in South Korea

SINGAPORE (Reuters) -Gurin Energy said on Wednesday it will acquire EDP Renewables APAC’s wind and solar project portfolio in South Korea to expand its footprint in the country.

The acquisition of these projects, with a combined total capacity of 303 megawatts, doubles the size of Gurīn Energy’s portfolio under development in South Korea to more than 600MW, the Singapore-based renewable energy company said in a statement.

The company declined to comment on the cost of its acquisition.

Gurin Energy is owned by its management team and New Zealand-listed infrastructure investment firm Infratil.
