Swedish AI startup Legora raises $150 million at $1.8 billion valuation

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) -Sweden-based legal AI startup Legora said on Thursday it has raised $150 million, valuing the company at $1.8 billion in a funding round by venture capital firms such as Bessemer Venture Partners, ICONIQ, General Catalyst and Y Combinator.

The company, founded in 2023, is the latest Swedish firm to reach a valuation of $1 billion following AI startup Lovable, digital healthcare provider Kry and music platform Epidemic Sound, among others.

Since raising $80 million in May at a valuation of $675 million, Legora has increased its customer base to 400 law firms from 250, and doubled its presence to more than 40 markets, it said.

With offices in Stockholm, London, New York, Denver, and Sydney, Legora has nearly 200 employees.
