Hybrid threats cannot be accepted as new normal, EU’s Kallas says

BRUSSELS (Reuters) -The European Union will continue work to protect itself against hybrid threats, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Friday.

The EU cannot accept hybrid threats “as the new normal,” Kallas told reporters in Berlin after a meeting with defence ministers from Germany, France, Italy, Britain and Poland.

She also said the European Commission’s military mobility plan would include pooling transport resources of member states and proposals to make permit processes faster.
