UK’s Mulberry Group’s Finance Director Charles Anderson to resign

(Reuters) -UK luxury brand Mulberry Group said on Monday that Charles Anderson, the firm’s group finance director, would step down from his role on Jan. 31.

The resignation comes just two months after the luxury handbag maker announced plans to streamline its operations post reporting a wider first-half loss.

Mulberry, which rejected multiple takeover approaches from its second-biggest shareholder Frasers, appointed new CEO Andrea Baldo in September last year and raised capital in efforts to turn around its struggling business.

Anderson, who joined the company as its finance head in 2019 will continue in the business till Aug. 1 to assist with the handover of responsibilities. The company has already begun the process to identify a successor for the role.
