LONDON (Reuters) – MFE-MediaForEurope, the broadcaster controlled by Italy’s Berlusconi family, has made a non-binding bid for Polish broadcaster TVN, two sources with knowledge of the matter told Reuters on Wednesday.
MFE’s preliminary offer targets only TVN’s free-to-air business, the sources said, with one adding that it generates earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of about 500 million zlotys (118.7 million euros).
MFE declined to comment.
TVN, which is owned by Warner Bros Discovery Inc, has attracted bids also from Polish businessman Michal Solowow and media group WP Holding. (1 euro = 4.2134 zlotys)
