Panel of French lawmakers reach deal on 2025 budget bill – Socialist MP

PARIS (Reuters) – A panel of French lawmakers on Friday reached a compromise deal on the final text of a much-delayed 2025 budget bill that is key to restoring investor confidence over the country’s finances and the government’s survival, Socialist Party deputy Boris Vallaud told reporters on Friday.

The seven senators and seven members of the lower house who were meeting for a second day, reached a compromise that paves the way for the bill to head to the lower house floor next week, when it could trigger a possible motion of no-confidence in the government.
