DUBLIN (Reuters) – Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin said on Thursday it was still too early to consider supporting businesses hit by President Donald Trump’s import tariffs of 20% but that he expected talks with the U.S. on the impact of the levies.
“It’s somewhat early yet to be talking in terms of supports (for businesses),” Martin told a press conference. “I think this is not the end of the story… I anticipate negotiations, I believe there will be negotiations.”
