PARIS (Reuters) -France’s EDF will outline details on a plan for eight new reactors at the end of 2026, after taking a final investment decision on six already in planning, CEO Bernard Fontana told reporters on Thursday.
The state-owned utility currently operates 57 nuclear reactors in France, but is planning a major new construction programme to revamp ageing plants and secure future energy needs.
