SEOUL (Reuters) -South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun and Korean companies have discussed U.S. visa issues related to the recent detention of hundreds of workers during a U.S. immigration raid, the foreign ministry said on Wednesday.
Cho said the government was making every effort to ensure the safe return of the detained workers and that there would be no consequences for their reentry to the United State, according to the ministry.
Representative of the Korean companies called for clear U.S. government guidelines on visas during the meeting with Cho in Washington, the ministry said in a statement.
