MADRID (Reuters) -Romanian telecoms company DIGI has hired investment bank Rothschild to evaluate a possible share listing for its Spanish business on the Madrid stock exchange, newspaper Expansion reported on Friday, citing unidentified market sources.
DIGI’s Spanish business could be worth about 2.5 billion euros, the newspaper said.
DIGI’s expansion in Spain has accelerated after it took over assets sold by larger operators Orange and MasMovil when they merged last year. It now has 9.6 million customers in Spain, its website says.
Rothschild and DIGI did not respond immediately to requests for comment.
