PARIS (Reuters) -Stellantis said on Monday it would temporarily halt production at its Poissy plant, west of Paris, during three weeks in October, due to difficult market conditions in Europe.
“The Stellantis plant in Poissy announced at a works council meeting that it would halt production for 15 working days, from 13 to 31 October, in order to adapt its production rate to a difficult market in Europe,” a spokesperson for the automaker told Reuters, confirming French media reports.
He said the plant would strive to manage its stocks as effectively as possible before the end of the year and take the opportunity to carry out work and schedule training courses.
The Poissy plant employs 2,000 people and produces the DS3 and Opel Mokka small SUVs.
