Romania reports bluetongue outbreak in cattle, WOAH agency says

PARIS (Reuters) -Romania has reported an outbreak of bluetongue disease in cattle in the southwest of the country, the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) said on Wednesday, as the virus affecting ruminants continues to spread across Europe.

The serotype 3 of the disease was detected in 10 animals across four farm and backyard locations in the district of Gorj, the Paris-based WOAH said, citing information from Romanian authorities.
