AIR FORCE ONE/TOKYO (Reuters) -U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Monday that a trade deal with South Korea was unlikely to be finalised during President Donald Trump’s visit.
Trump also said he was opposed to the deportation of South Korean workers following a raid by U.S. immigration authorities on a battery plant in Georgia that has caused tensions with South Korea.
He said the U.S. was developing a plan for skilled visas for South Korean workers.
