NEW DELHI (Reuters) -India’s trade body has recommended a provisional anti-dumping duty on low-ash metallurgical coke, a steelmaking fuel, according to an official notification dated November 14.
The development was first reported by Reuters on Friday.
“The authority recommends imposition of provisional anti-dumping duty equal to the lesser of margin of dumping and the margin of injury, so as to remove the injury to the domestic industry,” said the notification from the Directorate General of Trade Remedies, which falls under the federal trade ministry.
The anti-dumping duty has been recommended on low-ash met coke from Australia, China, Japan, Russia, Indonesia and Colombia, the notification showed.
